GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND: Patton�creator of the virtual SmartNode (vSN) virtual CPE and US-manufacturer of world-class network equipment since 1981�has won the Internet Telephony 2021 Product of the Year Award for its SmartNode SN4740 High-Density FXS VoIP Gateway.

First announced one year ago, the SN4740 is designed to enable unified communications (UC), SIP trunking, and IP telephony for hotels, motels, MTU/MDU or campus environments using analog phones.

Six Miles!�
Remarkably, the SN4740 can extend 128 FXS lines up to six miles or more while converting the analog voice from existing legacy handsets into a packetized data stream for transmission over the Internet using a SIP-Trunk service.

Message Waiting�
The SN4740 provides Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) support, which is essential for hotels, motels, multi-tenant-units and multi-dwelling-units (MTU/MDU) and similar business operations. In today�s ALL-IP telephony market, such legacy capabilities are exceptional.
